Thanks to anyone who could help. I've been trying to fix my system for 3 days now and it still won't work. Here's what I have: G4 Dual 1GHz, 1.5gig RAM, OS X.3.6, FCP HD, QT. 6.5.2, Huge raid with Atto UL3D 66 (latest Atto driver), Aurora Igniter Card (driver 6.3). I've tried EVERYTHING that has been recommend here (trashing prefs, resetting P RAM, re-installing FCP, ran Disk
Warrior a dozen times AND repaired permissions also a dozen time) BUT it still gives me the same GENERAL ERROR on capture.
Here's what happen: I start a new project (doesn't matter if it's in DV or Uncompressed, same thing happen), capture a few clips OK than suddenly BANG the system refuse to capture, and won't capture again no matter what I do. I took the Aurora card out and the system did the same thing. The system has worked well in the past I just don't understand. I'm getting a bit discouRAGED!

p.s.: I've also checked the RAM chips, the cables and did the fsck -y thing...
