I unstuffed a zip file with new fonts I'd like to use in Photoshop 7 on my Mac. However, other than the ones that are already on the fonts list in PS, I do not know how to use the new ones I downloaded. I tried dragging and dropping them (after unstuffing them) into various "fonts" folders on the Mac HD (even in the various "Adobe Application Support-->Fonts" folders), but... nothing. I do not have Extensis Suitcase on my computer either. My friend does, and apparently, he gets PS 7 to recognize the fonts just fine. Is there any other way to get PS 7 to recognize these new fonts w/o the need for Extensis!?!? I have a PSD file in dire need of these new fonts that I can only use on the Mac, seeing as though all my editing software is Mac-only (but the PSD was created on PC). Please help. This is VERY urgent!!!

[[[[Using--Mac G4, DP 1 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, OS 10.2.5, with PS 7.0 (Ed version)]]]]

Thanks in advance.

First you need to determine whether it is Photoshop, the fonts or the Apple OS causing the problem.

Does any other application see the new fonts?

Did you restart Photoshop after installing in them in one of the font folders? If not, place them in Library > Fonts on your Top level of your OS X drive or your home folder and restart.

Try adding some different fonts and see if they work.

Tony!

Restarted and nothing worked. Even Boris FX doesn't recognize them. UGH!!!

Try putting them in your OS 9 Fonts folder, then restart into OS 10.
