an ftp client that emails when transmissions complete or fail

does it exist? i think it's probably possible to do some kinda applescript darwin unix dotcom backslash megaflop thing and write some kind of code, but i really don't know bash from bausch & lomb.
if you've seen discreet's backburner, something like that. an ftp client that sends a nice email telling you your transfer's done or failed, in a nice interface for someone as mentally handicapped as myself.

hello...
dunno about a specific product that does this, as most gui ftp clients are designed for a quick transfer that you might not need to leave open for a long time...
are you adverse to a shell script that you could run via the command line? using something like bourne shell or the likes, you could ftp and then send a report of said ftp to an email address. write once, run forever... :-)

Check out http://www.versiontracker.com there is new FTP software from Viacomsoft it is plainly called FTP client. It loads really really fast and so far I like it much better than fetch. You might want to check it out.
