Joe Fathereeproblem with burner

I know this is a pc discussion, but I was hoping for some help. I was transferring files from my pc to my Mac via cd. I put the cd in my Mac and now I can't eject the cd. It doesn't show up on my desktop, so I assume it doesn't know I have one in the drive. Any ideas on how to get the thing out? I kind of hate to rip the door off since it is a realtively new system. I have never had a problem before today. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
jfat

I don't know about macs, but 99% of cd-roms have a little hole in the front (near the tray.) You can push a paper clip in that hole, and it will open the door manually. HTH
