Admin locks himself out!

Long story but suffice to say I setup a limited account for a coworker on my backup laptop to take on the road. Now the laptop is back and I have forgotten my admin ID and/or password. I never use anything fancy but I've tried every possible combination (except one obviously)and so far I have no access to my files or settings. WXP Pro.

There must be a back way in. Is there? HELP!

The default user name is Administrator, default password is left blank.
If your newly assigned user has admin privledges, you can log in as him, create a new user for you and then copy/paste relevant files from your old Documents and Setting folder.

That's usually the way I leave my admin logon - the default - and I've tried that with no success. The new profle has limited access.

Could I have accidentally deleted the admin profile (although the admin files are still listed under documents and properties, I just cant get into that directory)?

In Control Panel > User Accounts "change the way users logs on/off" and uncheck "use welcome screen", that way you should be able to write the username when you log in and use the administrator account (the black password). If you can't change that setting you could try another thing:
" tip - Log on using hidden accounts

While the Welcome screen is displayed, you can display the Log On To Windows dialog box by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete two times. This allows you to log on using an account that isn't shown on the Welcome screen (Administrator, for example). Note, however, that this trick works only when no other users are logged on. "
