I have a client who wants to include some .pdf files on their DVD. Since I don't believe I can load that file type as an asset, should I put them on a website and set the url in DVDSP to connect or can I burn them onto the DVD in a .pdf folder and just manually find them? Is there a way to link to the folder?

thanks,

Jim

either way you mentioned- a URL in DVDSP or a folder on the DVD would be fine. But- set top users would not be able to access a PDF at all- unless you convert it page by page into stills.

Thanks for the info. The pages the clients want are contracts so converting them to stills should work although some print might be hard to read depending how it gets set up I guess. Could they be printed from the DVD on a computer though?

of course- not a problem. Make sure to include the Acrobat installer as well.
