is the japanese version of the vx1000 as good as the US version?
i know the menu is in japanese, but is there a way to change that?

Basically the same, I think the language is in Rom, but I think the menu positions are the same, a friend of mine years ago had a japan version and I think he just cross referenced the english manual to the positions on the japanese menu, Its been a while so I'm not too sure.

Julien,

All the menus and the labels are in Japanese. I don't know how to change them.
It is the same as the model that was sold in the US.
