Have had my PD150 for two years now and the last year it has had a lot of use. Only been warned once to clean the heads and I think that was more of a condensation thing than dirt, it was a steamy day. Still I am wondering if there is a magic moment when it would be wise to have Sony give it a once over and at how many hours have people been began having problems? Any thoughts.

Here's the deal.

Send a working camera through $$ shipping and pay to have someone (may be on his first day on the job) open up the case, poke around and say "Yep, still works."
Close the case. Send it back through $$ shipping.
You unpack it, check it out and (hopefully) say, "Yep, still works."
And all it cost you was no camera for X days (or weeks) and X dollars to tell you what you already knew.

GOOD DEAL! (for Sony Service.)

All part of the adage,

"If it ain't broke... don't try to break it."
