I think you will find it has to do with the WinXP drivers, but I'll bet you already figured that out ...Grin... Try asking this question of John Price in Cow's Ulead Media Studio group. I'll bet he'll know.

I am running XP with Adobe Premiere 6 and DV Studio for 'quickies'. No problems at all. So XP is not the issue.

It sounds like your system installed the TI driver at installation. Your card should have come with a "driver disk" that will install the neccessary hardware driver OVER the previously installed one. If this is not occuring, it is definately an XP issue.

The Microsoft "techies" are already working on a service patch for XP for the paralel drivers so I'd bet that the IEEE-1394 ports are not too far behind.

Hi

My sysconfig is
Windows XP
Sony DV TRV 310
Netmeeting 3.01

None of the messengers(Yahoo/MSN) or Netmeeting detects my Camcorder which is connected thro IEEE 1394 interface.

Should I convert my DV to USB and then use so netmeeting/messengers can detect.

Please suggest me a patch or a DV driver that resolves this issue.

Thanks

Hi:
Is your SIIG 1394 card listed under "system properties-hardware-
device manager-IEEE1394 Bus Host Controllers"?
