COW Update: Over a half-million posts and nearing 1.5 million hits a day marker

Hi All,
I was just doing some log file work this morning and was amazed to see how the Cow is growing and what its statistics are, at present. For those who want to know, here they are:
- About two weeks ago, we passed the 500,000 active posts marker in the Cow.
- We are now regularly breaking the 1.3 million hits a day marker and are having some days that are pushing towards the 1.5 million hits a day range.
- We are doing nearly 12 gigs of transfer a day and that's a lot of 2k to 8k files (as we have very few files of any real size).
- We are getting between 41,000 to 48,000 unique IPs a day -- if just one person per day comes in from these IPs, that's a lot of people!
- We have had months in which we have run over 404,000 unique IPs in a 30 day period.
Kathlyn, Curtis, Jason and I would like to thank you all for making Creative Cow such an incredible community. As we often say, without the great leaders and contributors who make this such a strong community, this would be just another forums site.
We have some big surprises in store for you all in the very near future as we are now at work designing our new server. This new server will bring many new features and benefits to Cow members as it will have many, many times the bandwidth and drive space to work with than our existing box and connection. (And as we joke, it's going to be one bad-ass bovine!)
