 | Equipment Package---what first?

A portable arsenal for anywhere and everywhere:
Currently i have a Canon GL1, Powermac64, FCP, DVDSP2, M-box w/ ProTools, and necessary software for in-house production work. I have a few thousand to spend but have been reluctant to dish it out and exhaust my funds. The fact is- i need about 10 grand, but have a bit less than 5 to work with. I have been looking into these essentials and would like some advice on what to brands to buy & in what order -
1) boom mic
2) Dat / Minidisc / OR / laptop G4 using m-box?
3) a second camera (XL1, gl2, or go sony?)
4) a second workstation (powerbook g4 for flexibility, or g5)
This question may be a bit vague, but any advice or personal experience (possibly listing your best purchases) would be appreciated.
