Hi,
I've been working on family DVDs off and on using Vegas 5 and DVD Architecht 2. Over the last couple of days I've edited a dvd that initially had 3 or 4 topics to 5. Also edited red eye out of some of the original movies. Now when I try to burn the dvd either:
1. It says it has burned successfully ... but it won't play in a player that has played prior dvds (no change in media).
2. It throws the dvd partially burned (disc is unusable anymore)and says the burner is set wrong.
3. It doesn't pick up the new ending on the 5th movie..only part of it. Here I have rerendered in Vegas..repeatedly and finally had luck after selecting all then rendering that.
When I render, I do it the same as I have been doing for months successfully and that has been with the MPEG two pass and the separate AC3. Am getting a pile here of coasters and don't know what I'm doing wrong now!! Hope someone has a clue. Total minutes off of start image amount to about 63. Total project size is about 3.1G.

Try preparing the DVD in DVD Architect and then burning the DVD with something like Nero and see how that compares.

Hi,
I also have My DVD ver 4 and tried to import DVDA2 prepared files. Didn't work. The version I have only imported mpg2s that I rendered in the general mpg2 format in Vegas and also made some slide shows to at least make good use of the space if the burn worked. So, hours later at least I know that the burner (Sony) works and the media does. Then that brings me back to DVDA2... something is going on that is beyond me!? Please help some more!
