Fade to white?
by Rafi Bagramian on Oct 15, 2004 at 12:00:29 am

Options, Preferences, Video, Default track fade colors. I've got both top and bottom on white, but my events still fade to black? What am I doing wrong? (Vegas 4.O) Thanks.

This is a "restart pref". After specifying new color, close Vegas, reopen, fade to color/bottom will now reflect your change.

... or just use a Fade-to-Color envelope.

Or

drop some generated white media on a track below.

Thanks, but restart/reboot didn't work!! Still fades to black!
Fade to color Envelope worked, but that's time consuming to apply each time. What could I be doing wrong? I'm working on a long project and it's going to need fade to white throughout!

I think I made the change after starting the project; did I have to set this at the start?

Thanks again.

As Gary said... another simple way to do this is to place a white generated media event on the bottom track and stretch this to the length of your project.
