Is anyone actually having any success creating WM9 files with 5.1 surround audio for use on the web? What hardware are you using? Are the results acceptable? better than acceptable? What are rendetr times like using the WM encoder?

Some people are, but not much is being distributed yet since the player is still in beta.

Render times for straight audio aren't bad at all - faster than realtime on a fast machine. And it does what is promsed - six discreet channels. A supported sound card is required, but there are a number of those.
