If you're trying to change your solid color throughout your project, like from one color to another...

Apply the Adjust> Hue/Saturation effect and click on the Channel Range stopwatch in the effects window. Then as you scroll through your timeline you can adjust the hue of your solid and it will be keyframed throughout your project.
