importing layer sets-max number?

I have a photoshop file (Photoshop CS) with 32 layer sets. When I try to import the file into AE as composition, the beachball (of death) stays on for at least 2 minutes.

Is there a limit to how many layer sets AE will import at one time?

Are you asking what the maximum number of layers a single photoshop file can contain that AEX will import as part of a composition (layered file)? If that is the case I have imported .psd files into AEX 5.5-6.5 with upwards of 40-50 layers and it works fine. ITs a little slow depoending on their size and detail. . but they work well. DOes this help?
