I have been reading in a v6 tutorial that Cinema doesn't create real caustic effects? There is instead it explains a way to Simulate Caustics - and goes on to say that "this is one of Cinemas main drawbacks in terms of creating a realistic looking render" Has the use of caustics improved in version 7?

To expand a little on what Mark L. said, V7 has fully controllable Surface and Volume caustics that can be set per light, per object, or per scene, and/or any combination thereof.
