For anyone interested in taking a peak, I was asked by the Star Wars fan site http://www.the force.net to create a model of a new vehicle that will be seen in the next Star Wars movie. It was modelled and rendered in Cinema 4d (with some post photoshop touch up). Haven't mastered the html thing, so you'll have to copy and paste if you want to see.

Thanks in advance for any input.

BTW, the renderings can be seen within the article the html links to. You have to scroll down and click on the 2 blurry thumbneails if you want to see them...

This is my 1st art post here so please be gentle :)

Yes it is—— and there is one more beneath it in the same article.
Heres the exact address:

Sorry about that. Like I said--I am clueless when it comes to html :)

Hi Joel,

The embed tag for embedding still image jpegs, gifs, etc., is pretty simple.

To give you the second Clone fighter below, here is the code I am using...

<img src="http://www.theforce.net/episode2/newspics/gunship_New.jpg">

and using that, I get this...

Thanks for your instructions guys.

Mark,
Basically, the people who run the site were able to get a hold of some concept artwork for the upcoming film, and asked me to take the material and create a 3d model and rendering based on the artwork. This is just an "artists rendition" by me of how a scene in the movie might look, using the model I created in C4d. The people at ILM will have created the real thing as used in the actual film. I just created the model cause its what I like to do. It was posted to let fans get a 1st glimpse of the new vehicle.

I thought I'd post it just for the hell of it, and to see what you guys had to say about the artwork, since I've never posted my work in the past. Most of what I do is medical/science related. Sci fi stuff is what I like to do for fun.

That's very cool Joel. But I'm a bit confused. This model will actually be used in a star wars movie? Or is it a copy of a model to be used, or what?

BTW, it's very very easy to imbed images in your posts. To imbed that image you'd only have to type 10 characters and a space. Open the message ron posted in it's own window and view the source. Find your img address, and you'll see it enclosed in quotation marks, and all that plus the words img src will be enlosed in brackets. The whole assemply is called an html tag. You can copy that to a text file on your desktop somewhere, and then copy and paste it when you need it, and then just replace the url as needed. This will work fine until you feel comfortable typing it by hand.

The important thing to remember is to always includ 'both' quotation marks around your url, and both the opening and closing bracket.

So it consists of an opening bracket, the letters'img src', a quotation mark, your complete url (including the 'http://' part), another quotation mark and then the closing bracket. that's all there is to it. Go over to the image imbedding test forum and give it a try. That's a forum we have set up to learn in without worrying about messing up.
