hi all earlier i asked about burning a logo to some wood. here is a screen capture http://www.geocities.com/jedilos567/hcssweep.jpg of what i want the logo to kinda look like but i want it to be burned into the wood. its a sweep nurb or a b-spline. the problem is when i try to boolenan it ouyt of a flat block it doesn it show. i have to extrude it but when i extrude it it looks like this http://www.geocities.com/jedilos567/hcsextrude.jpg
i dont know what to do. plus it sucks that im using a demo so i cant save it.. but if i can figure this out it will be the driving force to buy this program. i dont even want to get into making the smoke yet cause i can barely figure out how to make this logo. if anyone have any ideas please help me!

Using a boolean of an extruded logo is doing it the hard way.

Much easier just to make an animated texture in after effects, and apply it in the color and bump channels.

Going the extrusion route, you'll have to get into animated booleans, texture morphs, and likely some SLA proximal... which will eventually get you there, but is a ton more work than it needs to be.
