First off, me and the folks at my business bought several Apple Production Suites to get Final Cut for our new G5's (we switched from Media 100). We needed Studio Pro, so we figured, why not- it's practically Motion for free. We already have After Effects and never put any thought into using Motion. OMG!!! I am blown away! The concept is so simple. Anyone who's seen a computer game made within the past 3 years knows what kind of rendering power these ATI and Nvidia cards have. Why hasn't anyone done this before?

Back to my question, we have 9600XT cards because we need all three PCIX slots available. Is there a company providing low-profile fan mods for either the 9800 or the Nvidia 6800?

Don't know how much of a hurry your in but ATI just announced a card that sounds comparable to the Nvidia 6800. The Radeon X800. One big advantage: It won't block any PCI slots. Again, I don't know when it's coming out. Here's an article.
