Hey all,
I have a friend who hosts all of her art online and she is having major problems finding a host. Mainly because of her bandwidth limitations. First of all she hits about 25 - 30 gig's a month so most hosts do'nt like that. And second she has a very large portfolio of her work. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any webhosts they had tried before or are using currently?

Thanks in advance,

Jonathan

hello...

i (and others i know) have used superior hosting in the past, and i've also researched and heard good things online about cwi hosting...

there are also numerous places online that let you search for providers - a few good ones are:

btw - don't trust the numbers that they give you - they often are a tad different than what are on the actual company's site...and be _very_ suspicious if they offer unlimited bandwidth (or transfers) - that is something that is usually too good to be true... :-)

Uh... it is?

We've always offered unlimited transfers to our client sites.

hmm...

i do stand corrected - i should have not included transfers in that statement...some places do monitor transfers to keep an eye on your account usage, but indeed unlimited transfers are much more common and something you can expect to receive...

thanks much for calling me on that! :-)

i''ll stick to my unlimited bandwidth story, though...it is something that i have seen listed as unlimited, only to have limits set in internal spec pages. also read numerous stories from people who were promised this when they signed up, only to find limits down the road...
