Does anyone know of any Shake training books (other than the Marco Paolini book that's been out for a while)?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

John

I recently did a search on Google but was not able to find any other books then what you mentioned on Shake. There are some general compositing books out there, one of them being "Digital Compositing In Depth" by Doug Kelly. I have purcahsed the book 3 years ago and don't know what is covered in any new version that has been released. This book, regardless of what software you use, gives you some real world examples on issues and problem solving techniques involving compositing. The book describes, in detail, how to do these techniquess in regards to specific software - AE, Combustion, Shake, etc. I am not sure if this books would meet your requirements, but in general it is a good read. I'll search to see if there any Shake specific books out there and post if I find any additonal books.

If you want to know a bit more about compositing try Ron Brinkman's book.
The Art and Science of Digital Compositing

Ron is part of the Shake team at Apple (from Nothing Real) and although the book doesn't mention any apps, it talks about compositing from a 'Shake' angle.

I started to read The Art and science... just before a 3 weeks Shake training and it helps me a lot. Everything is inside. I'm french and was not so good in english, and I took a great pleasure to read it, I learned so much thingd... It's the one.
Same words, same concepts as Shake and I think many high end compositing softwares.
you Have To read it.
