Is there a reason not to use the 10bit Digitizer, when the Compressor is set to DV/DVCPRO.
(I am loading SDI from Digibeta, but working in DV at 8bit)
Or will this reduce the quality of the image?

capturing your digibeta in DV will sure have a negative effect on your images. You'd better at least stay at 8bit uncompressed or dv 50.

i am very aware of that, so that's not my question...
if that is an answer, ill take it as "if its DV, it doesn't matter anyway..."

No, actually I'd say it is arguably the preferred way to do it. Go ahead and capture to dv using your SDI connection.
