What am i doing wrong?

I cannot move a simple predone composition on my timeline without having to move every keyframe one by one...what is that? I edited a 30 second deal with many effects..then imported a composition in the window ...dragged the comp to the timeline...but it defaults to the beginning...this five second deal has maybe 200 keyframes....it is its own composition in its own container...why can't i just move the conainer later in the timeline....it wont let me...i move the container/comp topline and nothing below it moves....there has to be a way to put a comp in the timeline wherever you want.....please help??????

Marty, you are going to hate me, but you can not insert anything at a certain time...It will always default to the start...and you can not slip and slide tracks...moving master keyframes will not move underlying keyframes....hopefully this will change in Red 3GL....that said, can you not render out the comp with an alpha channel and then recomposite it ???

Mark

You can only slip/slide a movie or avi on the timeline if you disclose the track down to the media level. So as Mark suggested, render the comp to a mov or avi with alpha then import it back into your project-then you can slide it on the timeline.Hopefully this will be changed in Red 3GL-it is a huge feature that should have been in Red from the beginning.
