hi i solved my above prob, now i have another

ive created chapters in the avi file ive imported as the movie asset, but when i try and play from chapter select menu it works ok BUT... the override doesnt work, ie instead of going from chapter 4back to scene select menu (which i set as over ride) it goes to chapter 5! !!! any ideas? !

The Override command is used to temporarily change the end action of a timeline. A chapter point is "in only" - as it can have no end action, there is nothing that could be changed with an Override command.

If you want the DVD to return to the menu after a certain section you would have to divide the movie into separate clips before importing in Encore. Assuming that you are using Encore version 1.5.1 you can put all the separate timelines in a playlist for the "play all" button. Be aware that playback between separate timelines will not be seamless. There will be a brief but inevitable pause between them.
