Back Saving from 2.0 to 1.5

AFIK is is not possible to "back save" ... a much discussed issue elsewhere...

No matter, I assume without knowing what it is I stil can't save so that someone in 1.5 can open and work on the file.

Sorry, I drifted into Instant Message language...

AFAIK = "As far as I know"

Simply stated... back saving to earlier version formats can't be done.

Look at: http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/322be.htm

Note also, that while the InDesign CS Help file implies that is can be done, the "InDesign CS ReadMe.pdf" on the CD or in your InDesign main folder retracts this claim.

I don't know of any workaround if the receiving user needs to be able to edit the document.

Ha, I am so ignorant to the instant message language, and I am on all the time.

Thanks for the info.

I am actually the one who needs to edit it, I think I wrote it backwards in the post, which is why I didn't have that info to look up myself. I haven't upgraded to InDesign CS yet, but I have someone who wants me to look at what they did.

ps - how's the weather up in Rochester (I assume NY, sorry if I am wrong) We were hit with 10 inches of snow (nothing for someone from Rochestor, but a lot for NYC) thanks again

Well Dominick, I suspect that you and I are the only two people using this COW forum...

Of course, if you want simply to "look at" what you colleague did, she/he can export it to a PDF and send it to you for viewing.

I know the weather has been sketchy in NYC lately, but it's always that way here... always tons of snow... always single digit high's.
