Slowing Down progressive scan Varicam Pictures

We have some slo mo ( 720 60P shot at 60 FPS 220 shutter angle ) material down converted to Pro 50.
It is stunning however ( of course ) I would like to slo it down more to make it like 120 odd FPS film.
It becomes steppy at anything over a 20% reduction in speed in FCP/CINEWAVE.
Can I smooth it out to achieve 50% slo down using magic bullet.
Progressive down converted to interlace - is there never going to be a solution??
Regards
Tim M

I think a product like Twixtor may be better for slo-mo.

You might also want to checkout ReTimer from RealViz which has a SD/HD plugin for AfterEffects.
