Hi,
I am using a Sony Hdcam deck and it is only outputing 29.97 with pulldown from a master shot on 23.98. The operation manual was not included with the deck. Does anyone know how to turn off that pulldown and switch back to plain 23.98 playback?

Thanks

Hook your JH-3 composite super output up to a monitor so you can see the menu settings. Hit the menu button to scroll through to the frame rate settings. Use the shuttle knob to scroll through to 23.98. You should see it change on the display. Click set. Power off the deck. Power on the deck and the display should read 23.98.

Sorry to not be so exact, I'm working from memory as I do not have the deck in front of me. Maybe someone with the PDF file or actual manual can email you the settings page.

Hope this helps

Andy

One more thing....

In the menu you should be looking for menu 013 system frequency. You will be given some options such as 23.98, 23.98PD. Make sure you use the correct version of 23.98 with or without pull down.

Thanks Andy.
You are a life saver.

I find it rediculous that there are no postings of the manual anywhere on the internet. I looked everywhere.

Glad to help out. I know what you mean about the manual. I searched online as well. To bad a rental company doesn't keep it online for its renters....hint...hint :-)

Wait till you use the Panasonic AJHD-1200A for the first time. That deck's settings can be a pain in the A$$ if not set up correctly.

Hope things go smoother.

Andy
