Re: audio only swf - frame rate? by Peter Ralph on Nov 9, 2004 at 5:53:14 pm
I understand that an audio file as such does not have a frame rate.
but swfs do....? even audio only ones?
Is there a way to specify the frame rate of the swf output file without including video?
it appears that when I encode an audio only file (or switch off video encoding on a a+v mov) the resulting swf has a much higher frame rate.
I do have flash mx - not 2004 - how do I determine the frame rate of an imported swf? It seems that when I import a swf it adopts the frame rate of the scene it is imported into...or am I missing something?
I can probably get round the problem by including a very small black video track with the audio and then hiding the video but its a bit messy.
FYI - I am trying to include an alternate audio track with a swf video player so that I can toggle on and off a "directors commentary" on my web videos.
