From what I can tell from looking at the PDF file, the Kona-2 and the K-BOX offer no solution for analog input. So, I wouldn't get rid of that silly D10A converter just yet... Then we will need to see some actual comparison of the analog "monitor" out of the K-Box to see if it actually compares to the quality of the D10C converter.

These converters have always been an annoyance until I have finally got a suitable workflow set up with them, but I feel like they are worth their money as they do an awesome job qualitywise... As much as I would like to just work on HD projects, I still deliver stuff on Beta and VHS for various clients....

But you are right, the new Panasonic deck could possibly solve this issue depending on it's input / output scenario.
