Looking for FCP opportunities in Sydney

Well, I finally, finally, finally got it together and and went through the process of getting a visa to live and work in Australia. I'll be flying out from London to Sydney in the second week of November and will be looking for employment shortly after.
Im an Assistant Editor/Mac tech and have been working with FCP and Avid for a number of years having "done my time" as a runner in a busy facility in London's Soho for two years before climbing the high-wire fences and making my escape to become a free lancer :)
I do pretty much all the asst.Ed duties such as managing Avid/Final Cut Pro suites; installing and upgrading of software, setting up mixing desks, patch bays and any additional hardware an editor may request, client drive space, troubleshooting & work arounds. Logging and loading of rushes, organizing bins, synching DATs to video, creating first assemblies, track laying etc
Im handy in the Mac OS department as well with a range of skills such as the Installation and updating of the OS, Use of diagnostic and repair tools, Installation of additional hardware such as RAM, PCI Cards, additional drives etc. Monitor calibration, Installation of Peripherals, Setting up user accounts, Internet and Mail services, Networking over TCP/IP and Appletalk, Troubleshooting and knowledge of the tweaks and maintenance routines that make a system run smoothly.
Being an Assistant editor, I can edit too :) and have a day-to-day working knowledge of applications such as Photoshop, AE, DVD SP etc. With the G5's, iO and High Definition on the ascendency i'm keen to learn how to use these new and emerging technologies. Im also interested in configuring and optimizing so if you're building a FCP system i'm more than willing to get my hands dirty.
I'm an experienced, responsible individual who is able to work efficiently with minimum supervision. I have sound knowledge of the post-production process coupled with a good understanding of the Broadcast Industry and how it operates.
I'm calm under pressure, flexible, friendly and possess great client liaison skills. I have editing experience, am talented, dedicated and nice too :)
So, any Sydney-siders willing to give me a fair go should contact me at my e-mail which is marcus@macmail.com
