One question still unanswered (although I think I already know what the answer will be) is how does the Apple 10 bit uncompressed codec stack up to the Blackmagic one?

Grant's codecs have been recognized for their excellence - perhaps they could still have an edge. Then again, perhaps they'll all work together. The Blackmagic codec does seem to be pretty portable - maybe we could use that over FW?

Perhaps Blackmagic, AJA et al will just move on to HD development for the year or so before Apple catch up there too...
