Hi,

We have heard of a lot of issues with FireWire ports being fried, and apparently the chip on the motherboard blows. As I speak to dealers around the world, it's a common problem.

Not sure what causes it though, and the dealers I talk to don't know either, because they are left with an expensive board swap to fix it.
