Re: 23.98 fps DV -> SDI output setting

This is a DV25 standards issue. Currently, 24p is not "supported" in DV25 as a spec even though you can dump it to tape as such. I'm sure this will change in time with the popularity of low cost 24p production. The decks (and cameras) would need to have the option to output with 3:2 pulldown insertion. And then, if it needs to be cadence accurate, you run into more issues. And then there's timecode. Oh well, I'm sure it'll happen at some point for DV25. Only a guess though.

Going to uncomrpessed BMD 8-bit, 10-bit or PhotoJPEG in 24p solves the frame drop issue that DV25 presents.

So to answer you're question (although I'm not a BMD rep), it's not BMD's doing, but ISO for DV25 itself. I'm sure Grant can answer better.
