Yes, this is something that has been promised on the Kona SD, and almost made it into the Kona SD v2.1 software update. We found a bug with Digital Betacam decks in the final testing so we had to pull it from that software release.
We are just waiting for the AJA Video guys to get the latest firmwar with the SDI embedded audio, and then it can be added to the next software update.
It will be a cool feature to have in the Kona SD.
