Hi all,

Strange. Someone else asked me this q just last night. I attended the local Shake launch.

I have just tested this and had good results. Commotion seems to do some weird stuff occassionally (like playing black when it should definately be playing images), I think this is a Commo thing as it was doing it with DV based stuff also.

If you go to Commotion prefs and choose render from the prefs pop-up. Change the none selection to Kona PAL (or NTSC) RGB as your output. You also need to click the settings button and choose the codec from the QT popup, It seemed to work with a BMD codec and also with none. Close the prefs. You also need to hit f10 to active video monitor output and you should be set. Another oddity here is once its activated you can't switch it off, again I'm not sure If this is a Commo thing or not. If you have probs with it not updating just try toggling f10 a couple of times. Other than that I had it playing some PAL stuff in Commotion on the desktop and mirroring to the Kona output at full 25fps.

Hope this helps.
