Itamar Koolfield swapping

Just before this new forum started I posted a question in the FCP forum about a problem I had with capured footage. When i played a clip straight away or in a sequence it looked very wobbly (what's the word?). After I swapped the fields of all the footage, it was allright again. I checked all my settings. They were all OK (I work in PAL). Up till now, it's still a mystery what went wrong. Somebody experience the same problem??>?
