That's the thing I don't get. A CEO that has truly studied everything about his company would know that he has to walk gently with existing customers who have been promised things from marketing and that all the moves of his acquired company has positioned relationships throughout the industry that he would do well to protect for the sake of the parent company's brand name. Not only that, but sudden shifts in strategy like this show lack of commitment across the board. Any company that would shift on a dime for any reason other than to save a company financially is impulsive. Optibase is not in financial trouble. There were lives that were lifted out of the dumps when this company was bailed out. Now, it's like they don't even matter. Thirty of them are GONE! But, maybe the Board who put this CEO in place is not as sharp as they think they are.

You know, I kind of blame previous execs of Media100 for cutting a deal with a company that would allow for something like. It seems like I remember that when this deal was done that promises of continued development and marketing of existing and future products were part of the deal. Why would anyone sign a deal with a company that leaves a loop for the acquirer to gut development. Specifically, that is the whole strenth of Media100. The only thing that they have lacked along the way is the money to get their product in front of prospective customers and to deliver and maintain their product with customers. That crack development team was up to that task. Their Reload Tour was dead on target. The bringing on board of Steve Bayes -pure genius. I'm sure Avid felt that blow! Now this!. It's nuts. I'm so glad I didn't get caught in this, but I surely offer up my support to those in this mud. Like I said before I want an 844/X HD.

Anyway......I'm out!. I'm mad!
