glen, this really sounds pretty odd. i have just exported a simple cmx 3600 edl from our mac media 100 (the xml/omf transfer to 844 aint fixed yet) and redigitised into our 844 with handles for fx. i dont understand what you mean by 'artificial' - an edl out of FCP is just a text file. like M100 or 844 itself - do u want to send it to us via email and we can check with our 844? and our FCP or M100 for that matter
