It's a pretty good lineup this month... some great visual effects and plenty of great software tips and tricks. Nick Brooks, VFX supervisor/Compositor, is showing some sequences from ABC/Hallmark's Mini Series "DreamKeeper", this year Emmy Award winner for Outstanding VFX in a Mini-Series.
We then have Mark Spencer, author of the Visual Quickstart Guide to Motion, talking about using Motion in a real world workflow. Unlike most demos of Motion you've seen, he'll be using a G4 Powerbook. We'll get a better feel for how it fits into the every day workflow with AE and other apps and what kind of things you need to know if you don't have a 2.5ghz G5.
Lastly, we'll have Pete from RE:Vision showing off the latest and greatest version of Twixtor, their plugin for AE, FCP, Combustion, etc. Twixtor enables you to speed up, slow down or frame rate convert your image sequences with visually stunning results. In order to achieve its
unparalleled image quality, Twixtor synthesizes unique new frames by warping and interpolating frames of the original sequence.
And there'll be books and software to be given away so come by and check it out.
cheers,
Jim
