I did perform the SAFE BOOT and repair Mother May I (permissions), also trashed some prefs. I did notice that I had a 4.0 and 4.5 pref in the FCP folder. ODD?? Threw out both of them and the POA. Anyway, did the housekeeping restarted and so far okay. Also just to add, that when I first tried to shutdown, the system hung up on the blue screen with turn sprocket wheel. Had to press the power button to force a shut down. Still, all is fine right now. I did look back into the pref folder and only the 4.5 pref returned but the POA is not back. Should I be concerned?

I will look into the system sound pref and the FCP sound pref issue. Thanks for the advise.
