Jack, try this...worked for me many times.

Boot into your OSX. Insert the Cinewave Installer CD that contain CineAcquire 1.0 and drag the entire folder from the CD into the Applications folder in the OSX boot drive.

Run the CineAcquire 2.0 updater. That's it.
