It does not require a previous install as stated. It does require proof of ownership of the previous version.

Quit the installer, and insert the CineWave CD with the CineAcquire 1.0 installer.

Run the CineWave 2.0 Updater. The 2.0 updater will look first for previously installed versions of the software. If it is not found it will search for the CD of the previous installer.

Try that and let us know if you still have problems.
