[ Bart Harrison ] I'm talking with my contact in Apple engineering (he wasn't aware of this either). Surprisingly I've got several CineWave system (inadvertaintly upgraded to 10.2.4) which remain unaffected. So it doesn't seem to affect every box. I'll let you know when I find out more !

Tell your contact at Apple engineering that this bug has been reported EVERYWHERE, like for example on Apple's own discussion forums, and thousands upon thousands of people are furious and pissed off (rightfully so) because 10.2.4 has maimed their system completely, and Apple have shown absolutely zero interest in fixing it.

I'm agitated, yes. My CineWave box just died completely today, and I lost lots of my personal data files because it took a FireWire harddisk along with it to data heaven. 27,234 files before, 940 files afterwards. Ouch.
