We actually have a long thread down below regarding DV editing, though nothing about corrupted files and I've not seen that issue here.

Your thought on seperate partitions is a good one as I have confirmed that if the CineWave drivers do NOT load up, FCP cuts in DV normally, that is, there's no slowdown in the workflow. If the CineWave drivers load up, it slows down the DV pipeline.
