Well..... we don't really need a second system to edit DV, it's just that right now the CineWave bogs down DV editing. Whenever possible, I bring DV and DVCAM in through S-Video and edit with the Targa codec.
I too want to know if we'll ever see a CineDV codec in the near future and some better offline resolutions.
