[ Joey Schwartz ] Assuming that there are typos in your message, the Kona card would REMOVE pull-down and use the "A" frame to identify the pull-down cadence "ABCD."

Yeah, it was supposed to say "capturing 23.976 is automatic with pull-down removal."

As far as using this with Cinema Tools, that works fine, as you import the file to Cinema Tools after it's already conformed to 23.976 and can thus identify and track the keycode numbers, etc.

You still need Cinema Tools, though, and CT does a very fast job of conversion, so it's ok.

The big coup, was the re-introduction of 24fps playback in SD, which existed in the 1.2 drivers, but went missing in the 2.x drivers.

There was a way of tricking the CineWave to working in 24fps with the 2.1 drivers as well, but it was quite unstable and best forgotten now. It did work though, but involved messing with the CineWave presets quite a lot. And voodoo as well.
