It sounds by the age of your system that you purchsed your Igniter several years ago. It's most likely the older 5 volt card. You would need to upgrade your card to the newer 3.3 volt card for it to work in a G5. This is fairly expensive upgrade. In most situations it's cheaper to just purchase one of the newer Pipe cards or Pipe Studio. Aurora give a trade in discount. Remember, the Igniter card was designed back in the old Blue and White G3 days. Most of us have gotten four to five years of use out of this card.

If you need to do 24fps film editing, the Igniter is still the only card that does true 24fps capture and playback. I'm keeping my Igniter around for that very reason. I've got two more 35mm features that I'll be editing in which case I'll need my Igniter. All my other work is done with the Pipe Pro.
