You don't need to set up a separate partition. Just install OS 9. Then reboot into 9 it to do that project. That's what I would do. I think you should do the project with the least amount of compression as possible, especially if it's graphic intensive and being projected onto a big screen. DV will destroy your nice graphics most likely.
