Jon Lewisis 1 firewire drive on 2 computers at the same time possible??

Was wondering if there is a way to have 1 firewire drive work on 2 computers at the same time, with one cable in one computer and the other in the other computer. Or by running a FW cable between 2 computers. I read something about doing something like that, but cant locate it. Is it even possible? or will everything blow up?
